| NUTRITION AND LEARNING |

The premises that nutrition affects children’s ability to learn are not new. The link has been recognized for through anecdotal evidence and, more recently, through controlled research studies.
Iron deficiency is one of the most prevalent nutritional problems of children in India. Iron deficiency in influence the permanent loss of IQ later in life. Iron deficiency and anemia lead to shortened attention span, illness, fatigue, and difficulty with concentration. Consequently, anemia children tend to poorly on vocabulary and other tests.
Several studies have found effects of hunger and poor nutrition on cognitive ability. One such study formed among the fourth grade students in U.S., those who had the least protein intake in their diets had an achievement scores.
A laboratory study that involved healthy, well –nourished school-aged children found negative effect of fasting on cognitive performance. A test of the speed and accuracy of response on problem-solving tasks children who did or did not eat breakfast found that skipping breakfast has an adverse influence performance on the tests.
Children who are hungry and under-nourished also have more difficulty fighting infection. Therefore, they likely to become to sick, miss school and fall behind in class.
As a result, many local communities are deciding to adopt school uniform policies as part of an overall program to improve school safety and discipline, mandatory uniform policies, mostly in elementary and middle schools. In addition, many private and parochial schools have required uniforms for a number of years. Still other schools have implemented dress codes to encourage a safe environment by, for example, prohibiting with certain language or gang colours.
Another significant feature of the MID DAY MEAL program is the use of technology in the social sector to improve efficiency and minimize cost, time and labour. Appropriate technological consideration has governed all facility design and process: the choice of the cooking medium (steam), generation of steam construction of large cutting large quantity of vegetables handling of cooked food to minimize human intervention to main standards of cleanliness and hygiene custom design of vehicles logistics to move and safety deliver cooked food in time, etc.

| TO CREATE GOOD ENVIRONMENT AND DISCIPLINE |
| | |
A safe and discipline – learning environment in the first requirement of a good school. Young people who are safe and secure, who learn basic INDIAN value and the essentials of good citizenship, are better students. In response to growing levels of violence in our country, many parents, teachers, and school officials have come to see school uniforms as one positive and creative way to reduce discipline problems and increase school safety.
They observed that the adoption of school uniform policies can promote schools safety, improve discipline, and enhance the learning environment. The potential benefit of school uniforms include:
- Decreasing violence and theft – even life=threading situations – among students over designer clothing or expensive sneakers.
- Helping prevent gang members from wearing gang colours and insignia at school.
- Instilling students with discipline.
- Helping parents and student resist peer pressure.
- Helping students concentrate on their school work, and
- Helping school officials recognize intruders who come to the school.

| SCHOOL FOR EDUCATION |
| | |
|
Schools around the world have taken many different approaches to the dress of school children. Some countries have national policies. Others have no policies at all . Some countries (Japan) have put children in military uniforms. Other countries (America) have been employed, they have proven surprisingly controversial. Often the same arguments are used by both sides of the debate, such as cost. In some countries (France) school uniforms have been to reduce class differences. In other countries (England) school uniforms were used to identify boys as members as a privileged elite. Now the debate has spread to America, where uniforms have traditionally been resisted. Many Americans are beginning to see the school uniform as one way of addressing the problems of public education, especially the lack of discipline and even violence, which is setting example of overall development.
